This course is an applied introduction to biological systems, as an entry point for the understanding and analysis of biotechnological solutions. Topics include the way in which features of biochemical structure and function, information flow within cells, genetic inheritance, metabolism, and immune responses can be used to solve problems related to disease, food and the environment. May be used for general education credit.
