A Journey through Literature

Catalog description
This course introduces students to German-language literature through the study of selected short texts written from the Middle Ages to the present. Different literary genres will be studied including short stories, fairy tales, poetry, songs, literary essays, drama and the graphic novel. In this class, students will improve their reading comprehension, as well as develop the vocabulary and interpretive strategies needed to read and analyze any text better. Instruction is in German.
