Structural Geology, Tectonics and Climate

Catalog description

This course examines deformation-related structures within Earth's crust, and the mechanical principles involved in their formation. Students explore the feedback(s) between tectonics, structural geology and climate. This course includes a lecture and a laboratory component, with two to three field trips throughout the semester.
