Advanced Cartography

Catalog description

This course focuses on learning innovative mapping techniques and exploring different forms of traditional and interactive map design. It addresses the mapping styles and techniques of expert cartographers and focuses on advanced techniques for map composition, feature symbology, terrain representation and web mapping. With more time dedicated to each project, the course will be conducted in a workshop setting for students to share their ideas with one another and get more in-depth feedback as they move forward.
