Catalog description

This course provides fundamental and advanced instruction in global navigation satellite systems (GNSS) technology. Topics include the history and development of GNSS, system operation, the integration of satellite and ground components, applications, and visualization. Active learning allows students to operate different models of receivers, minimize field error, gather and differentially correct data, and import the finished project into a GIS for further analysis. Students will form teams to design, execute and present a formal project to a client.
