Catalog description

This is the component course in a multi-course sequence focusing on the topic of brewery engineering and systems. This course provides hands-on instruction in the operation of the Madison Academic Brewery and completing a practicum at a partner brewery. This course complements the previous courses in that the theory and engineering of beer making is experientially explored. This practical course approach could be beneficial for a student interested in an engineering or operations career in the brewed and distilled beverage industry. Enrollment is controlled by an application process in which a student must be aged 21 years or older.
