Principles of Process Engineering

This course introduces the basic principles and techniques used in process engineering. The major emphasis of the course is on understanding materials and energy flows in simple and complex process systems. Quantitative models and equilibrium concepts will be developed and applied to assess product quality, economics, safety and environmental issues. This course should be of interest to students looking toward a career or graduate studies in chemical, environmental, biochemical, petrochemical and manufacturing engineering.
