Transfer Year Engineering Bridge Course

Catalog description

This project-based course provides transfer students with an introduction to the JMU Engineering program. The purpose is to familiarize transfer students with aspects of the engineering curriculum that typically do not transfer from outside programs. Topics include project management, product design and development, and human centered design. Additional topics in engineering documentation, visualization, engineering orthographic drawing and shop training are reinforced in the context of a team-based engineering project.
