Catalog description
Roman religion will treat the history and nature of Roman religion from its earliest manifestations in the early Republic through the rise of Christianity and its legalization in A.D. 313 and end in the fifth century AD after an examination of the interactions of paganism and Christianity. It will address the great diversity of pagan cults, the cross-cultural interaction across the Mediterranean and beyond and the variety of cultic practice and thought.
