This course explores the anatomical evolution of vertebrates, including the phylogenetic, developmental and functional significance of structures and systems across the vertebrate family tree. Students will gain key competencies in tree-thinking, specimen dissection, comparing and conveying anatomical form, and evaluating and synthesizing information to generate hypotheses and propose future directions in the field of comparative vertebrate anatomy.
