This course investigates the relationship between printmaking and technologies of reproduction, focusing on relief, intaglio and related printmaking methods. Students examine how tools and mechanical processes have shaped both the practice and meaning of print across time. Emphasis is placed on experimentation with traditional and adapted tools to develop hybrid approaches that bridge historical technique and contemporary practice.
