A study of the aims, philosophy, management, and current methods of art education in elementary school with an emphasis on child growth and development in visual expression. Experiences include developing thematic lessons with art techniques and materials suitable from Kindergarten through grade five with emphasis on instructional art content, lesson plan preparation, teaching strategies, assessment of student learning, and professional dispositions.
