This course introduces the major social theories and debates that inform anthropological analysis. Special emphasis is given to their analytical or explanatory power for understanding human behavior and our cultural and social worlds, the contexts in which they were produced, and their contributions to ongoing debates. Fulfills the College of Arts and Letters writing-intensive requirement for the major.
