Focuses on contemporary Native American literature written by and about the Great Lakes tribes of the Algonquian- language family (including the tribes of Shawnee, Delaware, Miami, Potawatomi, Ojibwe, and Ottawa) and of the Iroquoian-language family (including the tribes of Wyandotte, Seneca, Mohawk, Onondaga, Oneida, and Cayuga).
