Catalog description

Introduces and explores the fundamentals of additive manufacturing technologies. It includes the understanding of common additive manufacturing processes and their applications. The course also explores design considerations and constraints for additive manufacturing. Students will also be introduced to CAD and slicing software used for modeling of parts. The course will also focus on the materials used in additive manufacturing and the economics of 3D printing. Offered: Spring.
