— Paramedic Field Experience

Provides interactions with patients in the pre-hospital setting under the direct supervision of a certified Paramedic. The capstone portion of this course begins at week 10-11 once all new didactic information is completed and all team assist runs are completed. Students will participate as a team leader for the remainder of the term. This is the Final 20 runs, where the paramedic student is now in charge of patient care and incident command. Students will demonstrate competency in managing a patient in an emergent setting. 'C' grade policy applies. Offered: Summer, Spring Prerequisites: EMS 2210 , EMS 2215 Corequisites: EMS 2220 .
