Catalog description

Introduces students to basic programming terms, concepts, and documentation techniques. By the end of the course students will be able to design, write, compile, test and debug basic computer programs. Programming is done using the structured Common Business Oriented Language (COBOL). Topics covered include formatting/printing, computing, decision making, iteration, multi-level control break processing, and data validation. This course covers both batch and interactive processing. Microsoft Windows experience is recommended. Offered: Fall Corequisites: CPT 1050 .
