Catalog description

Covers the use of the microcomputer in a professional environment with a focus on the innovative use of this technology. Students will use decision making tools to assist them in their work or personal environment. The course focuses on technology; history of technology; components of the PC; the Internet; application software including spreadsheet, word processing, and Web technologies. Students will see a variety of IT professions and discuss the daily activities of each. Proficiency exams are available. Offered: Fall.
