Catalog description

Introduces the theory and practice of individual taxes using both workbook and tax software. This course focuses on applying the federal income tax code as it pertains to the determination of taxable income and the computation of tax liability for individuals and small businesses. Topics include filing requirements, payments, refunds, claims and tax planning techniques. Included is a discussion of the impact of income taxes upon society and an individual's tax decisions. Corporate and partnership taxation will be introduced. Offered: Fall.
