Interprofessional Education: Communications and Ethics in Health Care

Catalog description

This course provides an introduction and rationale of Interprofessional Education as described in the WHO framework and the development of the skills and competencies required to operate effectively in multidisciplinary teams. The course will examine the foundations of ethics as it applies to ethical decision-making by various disciplines in healthcare. It also provides students with first-hand experiences in dealing with cases and scenarios requiring shared knowledge and working with students of the other health care disciplines. HPE 200 , NU 200 , and SW 200 are cross-listed, and only one may be taken for credit.
