Study Abroad Participation

Catalog description

Students planning to study abroad for a semester or shorter duration in order to gain an international educational experience may enroll in IHP 398 . This is a non-credit course to indicate that the student has completed study abroad experience on his/her transcript. The course can be repeated up to three times to reflect completion of a study abroad program. Students returning after completion of a study abroad program with JSU affiliate providers will need to submit an official transcript for the assignment of JSU credits. Affiliate providers are partner institutions and/or third-party providers with who JSU has formal agreements. Students returning after completion of a study abroad program with non-affiliate providers will need to submit official transcripts and/or course by course evaluation on international transcript for the award of JSU credits. Transfer of credits for students taking study abroad trip with non-affiliate providers may not be guaranteed. May be repeated for a total of four times.
