Catalog description

This course will study chemical problems that are relevant for the chemical industry in order to bridge the gap between foundational chemistry courses and real-life problem solving. This course will discuss design of herbicides, pesticides, and neurotransmitters from the foundational knowledge of organic chemistry as well as cover concepts applied to alternative energy research. This interactive course will improve students critical thinking, problem-solving, and oral-communication skills.
