PREREQUISITES: Demonstrated competency through appropriate assessment or earning a grade of “C” or better in ENGL 093 Introduction to College Writing and ENGL 083 Reading Strategies for College or ENGL 095 Integrated Reading and Writing, or ENGL 075 Co-Requisite Reading and Writing CATALOG DESCRIPTION: This course is designed to examine the sociological and psychological dynamics of dating, relationships, marriage, family life and parenting. Introduces students to the major theoretical paradigms as they relate to relationships. Emphasis will be placed on how our contemporary society and culture is affecting these institutions and customs. The course will also explore the impact of divorce and stepfamilies on today’s lifestyles.
