CATALOG DESCRIPTION: Introduces students to the historical experiences, values, cultures, and beliefs of the major racial and ethnic groups that make up the population of the United States. Examines central questions in the theoretical and empirical study of race and ethnicity. This course will help prepare students to understand, appreciate, and work effectively with people who are different from themselves.
