Prerequisites: SDEV 120 or CSCI 101 Corequisites: Pre/Corequisites: Description: Students will learn the history of Version Control Systems (VCS), and apply an industry standard Source Code Management software as a VCS to organize, track, manage, and deploy a software development project in a CI/CD Pipeline. Course projects will provide hands on practice learning how to commit changes, merge branches, track versions, track issues, understand graph structures, and revert to earlier versions of the software project by non-destructive means in a command line interface. Course content will include push and pull requests to both local and remote repositories, merges, ignores, documentation, conflict resolution, insights, issues, filters, and security, along with generally accepted best practices for team workflow with a VCS.
