Prerequisites:Current Healthcare Provider CPR card (American Heart Association or American Red Cross) Corequisites: Pre/Corequisites: Description:Credit Hours: Lecture :4 Lab: 1 Clinical: NA Total: 5 Contact Hours: Lecture 4 Lab 2 Clinical NA Total: 6 This course is part 1 of a 2-part series. The series is based on the training program developed by the Department of Transportation and adopted by the Emergency Medical Services Commission of Indiana. It covers theories, techniques and operational aspects of pre-hospital emergency care within the scope and responsibility of the emergency medical technician (EMT). This first course covers didactic as well as laboratory practice.
