PREREQUISITES: MORT 211 Funeral Directing I CATALOG DESCRIPTION: A continuation course building on content from MORT 211, Funeral Directing I. The student will continue to learn specific procedures used when making funeral arrangements for the bereaved family. Specific attention will be paid to the various religious, fraternal, military and secular funeral service options. In addition, students will explore: notification of death, transfer of remains, prefunded/preplanned funerals, religious practices, fraternal and military funerals, shipment of remains, aftercare and professionalism in funeral service.
