Catalog description
Prerequisites:METC 107 - Mechanical Design & Documentation. Corequisites: Pre/Corequisites: Description:Continuing the student's exploration of mechanical design using parametric solid modeling software, emphasis is placed on learning more complex concepts and mastering software-specific modeling, modification, and analysis tools. Parent-child relationships, parametric relations, design intent related to part revision flexibility, details of mechanical assembly creation and constraining, and the generation of complex assembly drawings are explored, and the relationship of advanced engineering CAD skills to the creation of other engineering documentation products such as animations, basic engineering analyses, and manufacturing techniques are introduced.
