Introduction to Engineering Technology

Catalog description
This course provides the beginning engineering technology student with key information and basic tools necessary for success in their chosen field. The topics covered include a survey of engineering technology careers, an introduction to engineering processes, engineering mathematical and statistical concepts including common formulas, technical laboratories, data presentation and report writing, the proper use of scientific calculators, metrology, the use of spreadsheets for data analysis and presentation, and consideration of engineering ethics and professional responsibilities.
