PREREQUISITES: PRE/COREQUISITES: COREQUISITES: DESCRIPTIONS: By taking this course, students will gain a comprehensive understanding of key areas related to data center operations, including energy efficiency concepts such as calculating airflow and determining Power Usage Effectiveness (PUE), as well as illustrating UPS double-conversion theory. They will learn about fire suppression systems, general safety best practices, and the importance of using personal protective equipment (PPE) and interpreting arc flash labels. Additionally, students will acquire foundational knowledge essential for working in telecommunications at the physical layer and understand the routine maintenance procedures necessary to ensure the reliability and longevity of data center equipment. This well-rounded skill set will equip students to work effectively in modern data center environments.
