Basic Carpentry and Building Maintenance

Catalog description
Prerequisites: Corequisites: Pre/Corequisites: Description:Instruction will center on carpentry basics, framing, hanging doors and windows, wood and steel frame partitions, steel headers, basic installation principles of insulation, siding, and roofing. Additionally, this course will cover installing trim, drywall, applying caulk, sealant, and painting basics, plumbing tool basics and plumbing safety. Furthermore, students will perform annual maintenance requirements of building systems and equipment as needed.
