PREREQUISITES: HUMS 101 Introduction to Human Services, HUMS 102 Helping Relationship Techniques, HUMS 150 Child and Youth Development, HUMS 155 Family and Community in Youth Work, HUMS 250 Content and Curriculum in Youth Work, HUMS 201 Internship I, or HUMS 202 Internship II. CATALOG DESCRIPTION: This course prepares students to interact with clients and colleagues in a professional manner. Explores issues commonly experienced while working with youth. This course emphasizes ethical considerations in human services and helps prepare students to secure credentialing in the youth worker field.
