PREREQUISITES: Demonstrated competency through appropriate assessment or earning a grade of “C” or better in ENGL 083 Reading Strategies for College and ENGL 093 Introduction to College Writing, or ENGL 095 Integrated Reading and Writing, or ENGL 075 Co-Requisite Integrated Reading and Writing. CATALOG DESCRIPTION: Explores the history of human services, career opportunities, and the role of the human service worker. Focuses on target populations and community agencies designed to meet the needs of various populations. Course includes a required job shadowing project in a Human Services setting.
