PREREQUISITES: None. CATALOG DESCRIPTION: Introduces the study of Public Safety. Provides the student with an overview of the requirements necessary to complete a degree in Public Safety; including an overview of faculty expectations and support that is offered to students in this program. Students are introduced to the degree requirements and are guided through the completion of an Individual Academic Plan. Students are introduced to Student Retention Services, Library System and Research, Writing Tutorial Services, and Career Services for assistance in successfully completing projects throughout the course and degree program. Areas of interest include Fire Science, Homeland Security, Environmental Health and Safety, and Emergency Medical Services.
