PREREQUISITES: Demonstrated competency through appropriate assessment or earning a grade of “C” or better in ENGL 093 Introduction to College Writing and ENGL 083 Reading Strategies for College or ENGL 095 Integrated Reading and Writing, or ENGL 075 Co-Requisite Integrated Reading and Writing CATALOG DESCRIPTION: Within the context and application in the healthcare setting, this course will examine theories and research related to behavioral health and abnormal behavior with primary emphasis on symptoms, communication strategies, and interaction with individuals. It will explore fundamental concepts of diversity, disability awareness, addiction, and wellness as they apply to quality of life across the adult lifespan.
