PREREQUISITES: ENGL 111 English Composition. CATALOG DESCRIPTION: Linguistics is designed to introduce students to the various disciplines which comprise the scientific study of language. These include a survey of applied, comparative, descriptive and historical linguistics. The course will primarily focus on the English language.
