PREREQUISITE: Demonstrated readiness for developmental English. COREQUISITE: PRE/COREQUISITE: COURSE DESCRIPTION: This course focuses on developing skills and knowledge for providing effective home-based instruction to infants and toddlers. Students will explore areas of early childhood development including physical, cognitive, linguistic, social, and emotional domains. The course emphasizes understanding infant and toddler exploration, the role of play in early learning, and effective communication with families. Students will learn to apply developmentally appropriate practices, assessment strategies, and culturally responsive approaches in home-based early childhood education settings. The course aligns with NAEYC Professional Standards and Competencies and prepares students to support young childrens learning and development in partnership with families.
