Prerequisites:DMSI 149 Corequisites: Pre/Corequisites: Description:This course is a continuation of the studies of the cerebrovascular system and will focus on the principles of hemodynamics and how disease affects these principles. Waveform analysis in the normal and abnormal system will be defined. Transcranial Doppler methods and uses will be covered. Interpretation of the waveforms and exam findings will be explained. Standards affecting the vascular sonographer and the cerebrovascular system will be discussed. Alternate imaging modalities will be covered. Terminology applied to sonography of the cerebrovascular system will be explained.
