Catalog description

PREREQUISITES: None. CATALOG DESCRIPTION: Studies the basic requirements of a public safety dispatcher and familiarizes the student with the fundamentals required to effectively process 9-1-1 emergencies and classify nonemergency situations. This course will also prepare students to navigate a Computer-Aided Dispatch (CAD) system and other radio technology, as well as give the student a basic understanding of radio communication techniques.
