PREREQUISITES: Demonstrated competency through appropriate assessment or earning a grade of “C” or better FOUN 071 Tech Foundations II, or MATH 023 Essentials of Algebra I. CATALOG DESCRIPTION: Introduces the student to the Federal Aviation Regulations (FARs) pertaining to aviation maintenance (FAR Parts 23, 43, and 65), the Advisory Circulars (ACs) that expand upon these regulations, and proper record keeping for maintenance tasks performed on civil aircraft. Included are the format of technical publications and the various media (paper, microfiche, and CDROM) on which they are published.
