PREREQUISITES: Demonstrated competency through appropriate assessment or earning a grade of “C” or better in FOUN 071 Tech Foundations II, or MATH 023 Essentials of Algebra I. CATALOG DESCRIPTION: This is a math and physics review course with practical applications for aviation. The student reviews basic mathematical operations, determines areas of wing plan forms, and volumes of fuel tanks. Ratios and proportions are discussed as they apply to wings and aircraft engines. The operation of simple machines, aircraft nomenclature, and basic aerodynamics are also covered.
