PREREQUISITES: PRE/COREQUISITES: COREQUISITES: DESCRIPTION: During this course students will be introduced to the GM ASEP program and General Motors online service and programming systems that are used by General Motors Dealership Technicians. The course gives an overview of the operating and general maintenance of modern GM passenger vehicles and light duty trucks. Students will be introduced to the safe operation of the equipment and tools used in General Motors Dealerships’ service facilities. Students will study the maintenance and light repair of modern GM passenger vehicles and light duty trucks. In addition, during this course students will begin their Center of Learning (GM’s service technician on-line training portal) training and begin their preparation for the nationally recognized ASE (Automotive Service Excellence) certification exams.
