Catalog description

This is an introductory course studying the physical and chemical properties of the ocean. The principles and components of the dynamic ocean system will be surveyed, including the current techniques for measurement of the physical properties of the oceanic environment. The laboratory will focus on the measurement techniques used by oceanographers to discover how the ocean system works. Field trips may be required.
