Catalog description

This lifesaving skill-training course provides students with the practical resources necessary to respond effectively in emergency situations. The course covers accident and injury prevention, emergency medical care, emergency childbirth, first aid for common injuries and for people with special needs, and responding to delayed help (e.g., wilderness) situations. Two American Red Cross first aid certificates (Responding to Emergencies and Community CPR) and an AED (Automatic External Defibrillator) certification will be granted upon successful completion of all course requirements.
