Catalog description

This general education lecture and laboratory science course is a study of the evolution of life on Earth, including the environments where life forms are found in the fossil record. Study includes the origin and formation of rock-forming minerals and the three types of rocks found on Earth. Development of the continents, oceans and atmosphere including ideas related to the origin and evolution of life will be introduced. Field trips may be required to fulfill the objectives of this course. Recommended for non-geology majors.
