This is a study of the principles, theories, and reactions of organic chemistry with an emphasis on the relations of structure and reactivity. The course is recommended for students whose major is chemistry or a related field such as medicine, dentistry, pharmacy, biology, biochemistry, or chemical engineering. The following topics are included: stereochemistry, aliphatic and aromatic compounds, preparations and reactions of certain organic compound families, and spectroscopic methods. C-ID: CHEM 150
