Fundamentals of Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW) covers the operation of AC and DC SMAW welding machines. Topics include welding out of position, different thicknesses of steel, and filler metal selection. Students learn about welding heat input, polarities, and electrodes related to the SMAW welding process. Safety procedures are emphasized when handling tools and equipment. (3/0)
