U.S. History 1945 to Present examines major trends and events in American history since the end of World War II. Primary topics include the onset of the Cold War and the Korean War, the baby boom of the 1950s, the JFK presidency and assassination, the Civil Rights movement, the Vietnam War and counterculture, Watergate, the Reagan Revolution, and the United States' growing involvement in the Middle East from the Iranian Hostage Crisis, the War in Iraq, to 9/11 and recent events in U.S. history.
