Catalog description

Study of the fundamental aspects of pharmacology. It includes the identification of the types of drugs and their classifications, as well as the legal aspects that apply to the management and administration of medications. Emphasis on the different routes for medication administration and the steps to calculate the correct dosage. Description of the correct procedure for administering medications, including intravenous infusion. Discussion of complications and/or adverse effects associated with intravenous access. Requires 15 lecture hours and 45 laboratory hours.
