Catalog description

Application of the nursing process in humanistic care of family and diverse population groups as an integral part of the community. Integration of concepts and theories that underpin nursing practice with the family and the community. Use of public health concepts, social determinants, risk identification, climate effects, epidemiology, biostatistics, demography and evidence-based practice. Demonstration of coordination and interprofessional collaboration skills, leadership and education in the implementation of intervention strategies. Application of ethical-legal principles and research findings in executing the roles of the nursing profession in promoting well-being and health. Requires a total of 90 hours of clinical practice in various scenarios. Concurrent with NURS 4180.
